Thinking about the
calendar in Emacs
I sometimes want to visualize
or navigate date-related info
The built-in calendar has a 3-month view.
It would be good to make it more flexible.
Maybe specify start, rows, columns...
I want to:
plot heatmaps
interact with dates
Jan
select ranges(ex: prompt for missing cooking log entries)XX2 3X/or vertical:2023-01-012023-01-02If I want to compare more than one variable, other ways mightbe better. →Circled Number Thirty One?J X4 5 6CursorRET↳n xex:RSome possibilities:• Use calendar-help-echo-text,advise calendar navigation &maybe generationI want to do it in Emacs sothat I can quickly askquestions and build interfaces.2023-01-06-07when have I beendrawing/writing/...How often are A-'s tantrums?where are mydata gaps?(ex: cooking log, monthly highlights)JOOOOO7 8x000although I guess Ican do that asloop...But that can wait untilI have things I want to lookat side by side, which maywell be an OrgOrg table anywayThat tilts it more to this kind.writemy own versionsof the functions, usea date-value property:will probably want to dothis anyway for grid view
